Terms of Service

The contract for businesses that use Alovo to answer and handle calls.

1. Who these terms are for

These Terms are an offer by the legal entity identified below (Alovo, we) to businesses and professional users (Customer, you). By creating a paid subscription, paying an invoice, or continuing to use a paid plan, you accept these Terms on behalf of the business you represent.

Alovo is not offered for personal, family, or household use. The person accepting these Terms confirms that they are authorised to bind the Customer.

2. The service

Alovo provides an AI receptionist, telephony and web-call access, call routing, booking and messaging tools, integrations, summaries, recordings when enabled, and a dashboard. The exact features available depend on the selected plan and connected providers.

AI output can be incomplete or incorrect. Alovo is designed to collect information and perform configured actions, not to provide medical, legal, financial, emergency-dispatch, or other regulated professional advice. The Customer must configure human escalation for urgent or high-risk situations.

3. Customer responsibilities

  • Provide accurate business information, opening hours, services, prices, escalation contacts and integration credentials.
  • Have a lawful basis for sending calls and caller data to Alovo and provide all notices required by law, including a recording notice when recording is enabled.
  • Do not use Alovo for unlawful calls, harassment, fraud, emergency services, or decisions that require human professional judgment.
  • Keep account access and connected-system credentials secure and promptly report suspected misuse.

4. Prices, minutes and recurring billing

The price, currency, included minutes, billing period and overage rate shown at checkout or in the Customer dashboard form part of the contract. Calls are billed in whole-minute units rounded up, as disclosed with the plan. Taxes are added where applicable.

A subscription renews automatically for the same billing interval until cancelled. By completing the first subscription payment, the Customer authorises Alovo and its payment provider to store the payment method token and charge renewal fees and usage overages without requiring the card details again.

If a payment fails, Alovo may retry it, restrict paid features, or suspend the service after notice. Payment-card details are collected by the payment provider; Alovo stores provider identifiers and payment status, not the full card number or security code.

5. Availability and changes

Telephony, AI models and third-party integrations are supplied through external providers and may occasionally be unavailable. We maintain and monitor the service but do not promise uninterrupted operation or that every call will reach a particular outcome.

We may change features to improve security, comply with law, or replace a provider. Material changes that reduce a paid plan will be communicated in advance where reasonably possible.

6. Customer data

The Customer keeps its rights in business content and caller data. The Customer instructs Alovo to process that data only to provide, secure and improve the service as described in the Privacy Policy and Data Processing Agreement.

7. Intellectual property

Alovo and its software, interfaces, models, prompts, designs and documentation remain ours or our licensors'. We grant the Customer a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service during the subscription.

8. Cancellation and termination

The Customer may cancel renewal at any time. Unless applicable law or the Refund and Cancellation Policy says otherwise, access continues until the end of the paid period and the current period is not automatically refunded.

Either party may terminate for a material breach not cured within a reasonable notice period. We may suspend immediately where continued use creates a security, legal, fraud, or safety risk.

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential losses. Alovo's aggregate liability arising from the service is limited to the fees paid by the Customer during the three months before the event giving rise to the claim. This limit does not apply where liability cannot lawfully be limited.

10. Contact and disputes

Send notices and claims to the support address below. The parties will first try to resolve a dispute through a written claim. These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts competent for the Provider's registered office, without limiting mandatory rights that apply to the Customer.
